WIN U17 CHAMPIONSHIP AT
SCORE AT THE SCORE

 

 

GREENSBORO, NC:  The combined team of Patriots 94/95 won the U17 championship at the Score at the Shore in Greensboro, NC, on July 26, in an exciting PK shootout,(10-9) over the New Jersey Barons.  The 94/95’s finished first in their bracket with a 3-0-1 record and advanced to the semi finals where they defeated the #30 nationally ranked NC Fusion Elite 1-0.  In the Championship Finals against the NJ Barons, the 94/95 team finished regulation time in a 1-1 tie and then went to PK’s to decide this years Champion. It took an unprecedented  22  PK shooters (11 from each  team), including the goalies from both The Patriots FC and the Fusion, to determine the winner.   This is the second time in 3 years where The Patriots ’94 team has won the Score title. 

 

]]> http://www.patriotsfc.com/home/547408.html Stony Brook Club Enters Relationship with New York Rush 07/12/2011 05:24 PM http://www.patriotsfc.com/home/543535.html  he Three Village Soccer Club/Stony Brook Travel Teams is pleased to announce it has entered into a relationship with the New York Rush, one of the most respected soccer organizations in the country, to provide technical expertise, playing opportunities and coaching clinics to all of our travel players.  Stony Brook will become the only soccer club on Long Island to be associated with the Rush soccer organization, which has over 130 member clubs all across the United States.

As part of its membership, Stony Brook travel players will be eligible to participate in a variety of Rush activities, including Rush tournaments, a Player Loan program, a specific College Assistance Program, and the annual Rush Fest which brings together Rush teams from all across the country.  Teams compete against each other in a friendly format, as well as join together to participate in training sessions, getting specific training sessions from the top coaches in the country.  In addition, Rush will provide coaching clinics at Stony Brook for our travel and intramural coaches, assist in bringing Rush teams to the Stony Brook travel tournament as well as provide specific team and individual training at our facility.

The Three Village Soccer Club/Stony Brook travel teams look forward to wearing the new Stony Brook Rush uniforms for selected teams in the Fall, 2011 season as well as the clinics which will forthcoming.  Please continue to look at the web site for upcoming Rush events at Stony Brook.

PATRIOTS ’95 SET TO DEFEND STATE TITLE:

RETURN TO ENY STATE CUP FINAL

FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

The Patriots 95 GU16, defending State Champion, have advanced to the US Youth Soccer ENY State Cup Finals. They will compete against East Meadow United at 9:00am on Sunday, June 5, at Stringham Park in LaGrange. The Club recognizes that returning to the Finals of the State Cup for a second consecutive year is no easy task, and that the players and coaches have shown the commitment, sacrifice, training, dedication & team work that is required for a chance to defend their state title.  We wish the 95s and Coach Lucas the best of luck in their quest for another state title and the Club encourages all the Patriots to come and cheer them on!

The Region One ODP team finished in a very respectable fifth place overall with a win in their fifth/sixth place game over Estonia 1-0.

Results: Beat Kazakhstan 3-0, Lost to Krasnodar Region 1-0, Lost to Japan 3-0, Lost to North Korea 4-0, and Beat Russia 2-1, before beating Estonia 1-0 in the fifth/sixth place game.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Rush Soccer, it is a soccer program with 28 member states across the country and 14 international clubs.  The Rush philosophy, is to develop a national level club cooperative system where members of the Rush family have opportunities for national corporate sponsorship and foundation support, provides the framework for a national coach and player development network, and will serve a significant centralized pool of talent for consideration by European, MLS, NCAA, US National and Olympic soccer programs.  Rush Soccer uses personnel, technical and intellectual property exchanges and provides opportunities for players and coaches on the national level by being apart of Rush tournament exchanges, Rush Fest, Rush Select Teams, Rush Player Loan Program and the Rush College Advisory Program.

Miranda was one of 224 invitation-only players to attend in the 1994, 1995, and 1996 age groups.

The camp utilized a scramble format with functional training, small sided games, street soccer, guest speakers and a mini round robin tournament on the final day.

“US Youth Soccer ODP realizes the importance of laying the groundwork for tactical and technical development of our young players,” said Sam Snow, US Youth Soccer Director of Coaching. “It is important that the experience for the players be positive, especially in these training camp situations. What our players learn in this initial set up will set the tone for their future developmental progress.”

The camp themes were open to interpretation and understanding the game from different perspectives and problem solving within the game. The scramble team training focused on technical mastery under pressure, technical aspects of possession, possession as a means of penetration and how the different lines function and move the ball together.

]]> http://www.patriotsfc.com/home/513606.html Michelle Kowalski selected for Poland to play in the UEFA Women’s Under 19 Championships Second Qualifying Round. 03/31/2011 10:19 PM http://www.patriotsfc.com/home/511815.html Michelle Kowalski of the Patriots FC 94 (U17) team is in Austria competing for the Polish U19 Women’s National Team in the second round of European Qualifying for the UEFA U19 Women’s European Championships to be held in Italy this summer. The second round of qualifying consists of 24 teams divided into six groups of four. Each group winner, and the best overall second place finisher will advance to make up the eight teams that will play in the Finals along with the host Italy.

Poland qualified along with Switzerland from their first round after beating Kazakhstan 5-0 and Macedonia 3-1, before losing to Switzerland 4-0. A second place finish was enough to secure passage through to the second round.

In their first game on March 31, Poland fell to a very technical Spanish team 3-0, but they’ll look to rebound against Austria on April 2, and Scotland on April 5. Click the link below for information and to see scores of the second round of UEFA Qualifying.

On December 15, 2010 the Region 1 league was announced. For the first time in the club’s  history, The Patriots have multiple  teams playing in the Region 1 league.  The Patriots 89s were the first team to play Region 1 followed by the Patriots 92s.  This spring the club will be represented by the Patriots 93 (GU18), Patriots 95 (GU16) & Patriots 96 (GU15) in the Region 1 League!.  Also on December 29 the Northeast Regional Premier League was announced and four teams will be participating in NERP this Spring , Patriots 98 (GU13) Patriots 97 (GU14)  Patriots Power (GU16)  and Patriots 94 (GU17)

 2010 Regional Semi-Finalist

 July 5, 2010.  Barboursville, WV

The Patriots FC 95 GU15 team advanced out of bracket play into the Regional Semi-Finals at the Region I Championships in West Virginia.  The team went undefeated in Bracket  C posting a 1-1 tie versus Empire United SA (WNY) a 3-0 victory over Capital SC (VT) and a thrilling 5-2 win against Kirkwood SC (DE).  The decisive win over Kirkwood allowed them to advance to the semi-final match against Bracket B winner Beadling SC of PAW.  In the Semi-Final the Patriot 95’s tied the game 1-1 late in the second half but came up short on a last minute goal by Beadling.  Due to their success in  Regional play, the 95’s will be playing in the Region 1 Premiere league in the Spring of 2011.

June 5, 2010. Lagrangeville, NY:

The Patriots FC ’95 team defeated number one New York State ranked, Albertson Fury in the Eastern New York State Girls U15 Championship game 2-1.  This is the first Patriots team to win a state title in the 15 year history of the Patriots FC program.  The 95’s took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half on a goal scored by striker Megan Caspare. Megan capitalized on a clearing error by Albertson and then was able to chip the goalkeeper for a 1 nil advantage.  The Patriots second goal was scored after a long ball was sent into the Albertson box. Midfielder Izzy Sheck settled the ball and found the net on a hard driven far post shot. When the half-time whistle blew, the Patriots held a 2-0 lead, a lead that was never relinquished.  Albertson did manage to score late goal in the second half to make it 2-1. Albertson continued to apply immense pressure but the Patriots defense continued shut down the high powered offense and prevented the tying goal in a very thrilling finish.  Kate Burbank was called on to make several saves to insure the Patriots win.  The girls will be traveling to West Virginia to represent Eastern New York State in the Regional Tournament from July 1-6. 

Earlier in the day the Patriots 96 GU14 team lost a very close, well played match to World Class in a tough 1-0 defeat. Both teams had many scoring opportunities, then midway through the first half World Class was able to score the game winner. The Patriots pressured the World Class keeper with several opportunities but was unable to gain the equalizer.

In its infancy Patriots FC had only one team with 17 children. In 2007 The Patriots Football Club was established, today the Club has grown substantially, fielding 11 teams with over 180  players from Westchester and surrounding counties.

The Club has had many outstanding achievements over the years in state, regional and national competition, as well as great success at prestigious tournaments such as WAGS, Orange Classic, Disney Showcase, Jefferson Cup and Score at the Shore.

While the Patriots have enjoyed its relationship with EYSA our vision requires us to seek a move to a more regionally diverse membership. As part of the natural progression of seeking a higher level of play Patriots FC is completing a transformation in becoming exclusively a premier soccer club known as Patriots FC.

FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 9, 2010) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the 88 teams chosen to compete in the 2010-2011 US Youth Soccer National League season. The league, entering into its fourth season, is for Under-15 through Under-17 Boys and Girls elite club soccer teams with an individual proven track record of success in US Youth Soccer programs.

“The 2010-2011 US Youth Soccer National League marks a significant shift as the League almost doubles in size, challenging more teams to raise their level of play above and beyond their already elite level status to compete for a top spot in the National League standings and a coveted ticket to the US Youth Soccer National Championships,” said Paul Luchowski, National League commissioner. "Now in its fourth season, the League continues to provide a truly national competition for even more players to develop and test themselves in meaningful matches and everyone is looking forward to another great season."

The National League is an extension of the highly successful US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues [US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Premier League, Midwest Regional League, Region III (South) Premier League and Far West Regional League] in which the top teams are eligible to continue the path of succession into the National League where the ultimate prize is qualifying for the prestigious national championships.

2010-2011 increases the National League’s reach with 29 of the 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations, from Region I (East): Connecticut, Eastern New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York West and Virginia; from Region II (Midwest): Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio North and Ohio South; from Region III (South): Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Texas and Tennessee; from Region IV (West): Arizona, California South, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.
 
Each gender age group is split into two eight-team divisions, with each division featuring teams from each of US Youth Soccer’s four regions competing in round robin play within each division. The Under-15 Girls age group will continue with the traditional eight teams for 2010-2011 season.

The seven game season will begin in Wilson, N.C., where all boys’ teams will compete Nov. 18-21 and all girls’ will compete Dec. 2-5, followed by participation in one of two other locations per gender consisting of girls’ Dec. 31-Jan 2 in Orlando, Fla., and boys’ competition Feb. 19-21 in Florida. The final play date will combine boys and girls in Las Vegas March 18-20 and be held in conjunction with the Player’s Soccer Showcase. The complete schedule will be announced on USYouthSoccer.org in mid-September.   
 
The first place team from each division age group will earn a spot to the 2011 US Youth Soccer National Championships along with the four US Youth Soccer Regional Champions.

The national championships are the culmination of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series where the nation’s champions are crowned in six age groups for boys and girls.
 
Since its inception, National League teams have captured a combined 10 National Championships. In 2008, seven of the eight championship finals slots in the Under-15 and 16 age groups were won by National League teams, which resulted in the League’s first four National Championships. The League notched four more National Championship titles in 2009 including the Under-15 Boys (Baltimore Casa Mia Bays) and Girls (San Diego Surf) as well as Under-16 Boys (Dallas Texans 93 Red) and Under-17 Girls (Eclipse Select). At the 2010 national championships, League participants took home titles in the Under-15 Boys (Baltimore Bays Chelsea) and Under-17 Girls (So Cal Blues Dodge) age groups. As is the case with the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series events and the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program the National League creates another significant opportunity for the nation’s collegiate, professional and national team staffs to see players in an environment of meaningful play.
